Tax exemption to industrialists to continued even after GST’s implementation

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said tax exemptions provided to the industrialists at present will be continued even after implementation of Good and Services Tax (GST). Mr Chouhan was addressing the CEOs conclave on the eve of Global Investors Summit (GIS), which got underway in the state’s commercial capital, Indore, today. Mentioning that citizen charter and single-window system have been implemented for ensuring better industrial investment climate, he pointed out that a wide scope for investment existed in the state, an official release said. Expressing readiness on the part of the regime to welcome industrialists, Mr Chouhan said the state’s industrial growth rate was over 10 per cent while agriculture growth rate exceeded 20 per cent. Averring that the state has industrial friendly policy, he said that the state possesses 1.25 lakh hectare land bank, which includes 50,000 hectare developed land. The Centre is being urged to amend the law to facilitate the farmers to give their land on lease for industry. He said 100 per cent Value Added Tax (VAT) will be reimbursed to companies working in the field of food processing. The state government is ready for skill development on public private partnership (PPP) mode. Moreover, the regime is also ready for all assistance to the micro, small and medium industries.UNI PS SHS 1348
