CM hopes A.P. will become No. 1 State in ease of doing business by next year

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday favoured an early roll out of GST for the benefit of the industry.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of ‘Make in India Week’ in Mumbai, he said GST would have a tremendous impact on every industry and also in terms of ease of doing business. VAT was also opposed initially, but it had a positive impact on our economy. He expressed confidence that Andhra Pradesh would emerge as the top State in the ease of doing business by next year.

The newly-formed State was ranked second now and would become the number one State next year, he added.

Observing that there was opportunity for every type of industry to invest in Andhra Pradesh, he said the biggest advantage was the State’s long coastline of 970 km. He said efforts were also under way to make the State drought-proof by linking Godavari and Krishna rivers. Every house would be provided internet connectivity by June-July this year.
